Privacy Notice

1. Data controller
Recovery Point, located at Río Sonora #599, Col. Los Pinos, Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, ZIP 21259, is responsible for the use, protection and safekeeping of your personal data under Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP) and its implementing regulations.
Any communication regarding this Notice should be directed to privacidad@recoverypoint.mx or via WhatsApp to the number published on this site.
2. Personal data we collect
- Identification & contact: full name, phone number (WhatsApp and/or landline), email address, date of birth when applicable.
- Service data: appointment history, services contracted, preferences, internal operational notes.
- Conversation data: the content of messages you send via WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook or website chat, including what the automated system records to handle your request.
- Technical data: anonymous usage data (pages visited, session duration, browser) collected via cookies and analytics.
We do not collect sensitive health data (formal diagnoses, prescriptions, lab results) unless you share them voluntarily when describing the reason for your visit. In those cases additional clinical confidentiality controls apply.
3. Purposes of processing
Primary (necessary to provide service):
- Booking, modifying, cancelling and following up on appointments.
- Sending reminders and confirmations via WhatsApp, SMS or email.
- Customer service and complaint resolution.
- Compliance with tax and administrative obligations (invoicing).
- Maintaining a service history to improve your experience on future visits.
Secondary (not required; you may opt out without affecting primary service):
- Promotional messages, discounts, launches and seasonal campaigns.
- Reactivation of inactive patients.
- Referral and rewards programs.
- Internal analysis of usage to improve our services.
- Segmentation and remarketing on Meta Ads, Google Ads.
- Requests for reviews and testimonials on external platforms.
4. Data processors (third parties)
To operate the service we share limited data with the following third parties, who act as data processors under contract:
- Chatrace (Appcontx) — WhatsApp/Instagram/Facebook messaging channel.
- Supabase, Inc. — database hosted in the United States.
- OpenAI — automated conversational assistant processing.
- Hostinger International Ltd. — website hosting and auxiliary services.
- Meta Platforms, Inc. — WhatsApp Business, Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, tracking pixel.
- Google LLC — web analytics, Maps, Ads, Workspace (when applicable).
Some of these processors operate servers outside Mexico (mainly the United States and the European Union), therefore your personal data may be transferred internationally under standards of protection reasonably equivalent to or higher than LFPDPPP.
5. ARCO rights
You have the right to Access the personal data we hold about you and learn how we use it; to request Rectification when data is outdated, inaccurate or incomplete; to request the Cancellation (deletion) of your data when you believe it is not being used in accordance with applicable law; and to Object to the use of your data for specific purposes.
To exercise any ARCO right, write to privacidad@recoverypoint.mx with your full name, a scanned government-issued ID, a clear description of the request and the data it covers. We will respond within 20 business days.
6. Withdrawing consent
You may withdraw consent for secondary purposes (advertising, promotions, remarketing) at any time. The fastest way: reply UNSUBSCRIBE, STOP or BAJA to any promotional WhatsApp message; the system will automatically opt you out. You may also write to the privacy email above.
Note that transactional reminders (appointment confirmation, reminder, cancellation; receipts) are necessary to provide service and cannot be suspended while you have active appointments with Recovery Point.
7. Cookies and tracking
This site may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to collect information about your interaction. You may disable cookies in your browser settings. Data collected is used to improve your experience and for ad segmentation with the platforms listed in section 4.
8. Security measures
Recovery Point implements reasonable technical, administrative and physical safeguards to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration or disclosure. This includes encrypted connections (HTTPS), role-based access control, scheduled backups, and audit logging on sensitive data access.
9. Changes to this Notice
Any modification to this Privacy Notice will be published on this page, updating the date above. We recommend reviewing it periodically. Material changes will also be communicated through Recovery Point's regular channels.
